This creative campaign came from a young woman, Kate Brennan, who had used part of her legal training time to work with Aboriginal children in the Northern Territory in Australia. Kate is a trained swimming coach and participated in swimming competitions at a national level. The small town of Ngkurr (Pronounced Nooker) has an excellent local swimming pool where Kate excersised after hours and on weekends. The local children love the pool, part of the school truancy policy is to ban the pool for kids who dont come to school, needless to say there is a very hight standard of attendance!

Kate, being a trained swimming coach wanted to help the kids get the maximum out of their local pool and teach them how to swim. She enlisted the help and assistance of major organisations - Macquarie Bank Sports, Goodman Fielder, Speedo and the local Darwin Bakery. A group of coaches and assistants were called and a "Dive into life" event was born.
The event will take place in the week of 4-8 of July this year and also has the support of local Aboriginal community leaders, the local school and of course the local pool!
